Stone Paper Hardcover Pocketbook
$15.00
These lovely little pocketbooks will look great, go with you everywhere, and help save the planet.
Made with crushed stone mineral paper with a recycled marine polyester (plastic drink bottles) cover, these cute pocketbooks are waterproof, tear resistant, come with a ribbon divider and are 100% recyclable after use. The blank pages are perforated for easy pull-out.
Stone Paper is pretty special stuff - it's made from ground-up waste stone (CaCO3- calcium carbonate) instead of tree fibre. No bleaches, acids or other potentially dangerous ingredients are used in the production of stone paper. It's just a waste product that helps save trees while you jot down your thoughts.
What We Love About It
I could go on about the incredible product that is stone paper, but here are some highlights:
- It uses only a third of the carbon footprint of regular paper
- it reuses a waste product from one of the most abundant substances on earth, calcium carbonate.
- it's smoother, brighter, and more durable than traditional paper
- and it's 100% recyclable! Stone paper degrades just like eggshells. If any pages end up in landfill (something to avoid but it happens), they will breakdown in the sun within 12 months.

The Story Behind it
Gracious Minds was created by Melbourne-girl Kat Narelle after discovering that the stationery industry was strongly connected to deforestation and climate change. So she decided to do something about it. Gracious Minds creates stunning stationery goods from materials that put the planet first, including recycled marine polyester, recycled stone paper, waterproof canvas and biodegradable packaging.
Gracious Minds is a social enterprise that donates 50% of profits to reversing climate change. Their first round of donations will go to Anonymous for the Voiceless, Global Recycling Foundation, Reef Restoration Foundation, Australian Conservation Foundation and One Tree Planted.
