Reversible Jacquard Throw - Dorothy
$329.00
Dorothy is a jaw-dropping, colourful double-sided blanket, made in Chicago.
Inspired by 1950s textile weaver Dorothy Liebes, Dorothy is a nod to mid-century interior and textile design. One side features bright pinks, blues, yellows, oranges and greens in a bauhaus design. And the reverse side is even more incredible, with muted greens, peach and tans.
What We Love About It
These blankets are the most exciting handmade textiles we've seen. The special jacquard weave - made in cotton on a traditional wooden loom - creates an intricate pattern within the fabric, rather than simply printed on. This means the blankets are thick, toasty warm and incredibly soft.
We love how the colours are so different on each side of the blanket - we have trouble figuring out which side we like best! The Studio Herron blankets will grace your couch, bed and life for years to come.

The Story Behind It
Studio Herron is a Chicago-based textile design and weaving studio that combines artistic process and traditional craft methodologies with the utilitarian and the aesthetic. Studio Herron was founded by weaver Dee Clements, an artist, designer and entrepreneur whose practice spans soft product design, craft and art.
Dee uses weaving and tufting to bring meaning into the realm of the domestic. She views textiles as an ever changing and flexible way to examine the emotional side of soft objects.
