Plant Moisture Meter - Small
$19.00
Sustee is a clever little moisture meter that will help you stop killing your plants with kindness.
After watering your plant, pop in the Sustee and let it absorb water at the root level, just like your plant. After 3 minutes or so it will turn blue. As the soil in the pot dries out over time, the Sustee will turn white - then you know it's time to water again.
Sustee stays in place so it does not disturb the growing roots.
Size Guide
Small Sustee is best for small or shallow pots with plant roots about 5cm deep
Medium Sustee is best for pots 12-17cm in diameter
Large Sustee is best for pots more than 18 cm or above in diameter

More Info
1. Can I re-fill the Sustee?
Yes, refills are available and should only be required after around 6-9 months - depending on the quality of your soil mix.
2. What if my Sustee arrives and my indoor plants are already watered?
Simply prime your new Sustee by placing into a cup of water and wait till the window turns blue, then place into your already watered plant.
3. Can I use for outside potted plants too?
Yep!
4. Can I take it out and move it to another pot?
Certainly! Just make sure you let your Sustee dry for 24hrs then place into the new potted plant. The Sustee needs time to dry out completely before going back to white.
5. Where should I insert it in the pot?
It is important for Sustee to measure the moisture area around the roots. So insert within 20 centimeters from the plant.
6. How do I know when to water?
Re-water your plant when the small window on the top of the Sustee becomes white - if it's blue it's hydrated so you only water once it turns back to white. You may be surprised how little water your plant really requires.
7. How do I take care of my Sustee?
After long periods of usage Sustee might not react as swiftly as it should. This may be due to soil sticking to it. Mix neutral detergent with warm water and place upside down (the window facing downwards) in it and let it soak for about an hour. Whatever is sticking to Sustee should come off and dissolve.
8. Is the Sustee recyclable?
Oh yes, Sustee is recyclable and reusable (even better)
