Corrugated Planter - Salt Lake
$139.00
If you are after a planter pot that looks amazing even if the plant looks a little sad, this is IT!
The stunning Corrugated Planter in Salt Lake is made by Melbourne ceramicist Ella Reweti using slip-cast molds. The planter has a drainage hole and comes with a separate dish that acts as a reservoir for water.
The petite planter works best with plants planted directly into it. We recommend succulents of all forms, desert grasses or cacti.
Each Corrugated Planter is handmade and may have some imperfections. The saucer is made separately and may not match up perfectly with the waves on the planter, but that allows you to play with the form and create new shapes and lines.

The Story Behind it
Ella Reweti is a Melbourne-based ceramicist working mainly with slipcasting techniques to create functional, sculptural pieces inspired by industrial architectural forms. Ella's ceramics practice is largely self-taught and is constantly evolving to encompass new skills and techniques, accumulated through play and experimentation.
Her slipcasting methods are unique - rather than being 'thrown' on a wheel, the slipcasting process uses plaster molds into which liquid clay is poured. Molds are typically used to produce mass quantities of identical products but Ella creates a variety of forms by stacking and interchanging the molds. The result is a collection that has coherence but is one-of-a-kind!
