The shape of the Curl Curl candle is inspired by rolling waves that lift you up and swirl around you. lt brings a sculptural sentiment to the room. Curl Curl is the name of a beach in Sydney. The word Curl Curl may have been derived from a Dharuk Aboriginal phrase curial curial, meaning 'river of life'. 

Black Blaze candles are made from refined, unscented plant-based wax and are designed for home decoration. Use a flat dish or candle plate underneath Curl Curl to catch drips as it burns.

Things to Know

Size: 11 x 11.5 cm

Burn Time: 2-3 hours

Care: The Curl Curl candle drips when burning. Use a flat plate or candle dish when burning. If the wax is dripping too much, blow out the candle and wait until the wax has slightly solidified. Then scoop up the wax and place it back on the candle, blocking the leak holes. Wait until the wax has completely hardened, trim the wick and relight. This will increase the burning time.

Black Blaze was established in 2016 by Joe and Ray and is headquartered in Sydney. Their objective is to encourage exploration of scent using raw, Australian-inspired ingredients. They travel, investigate and bottle the smell of our favourite places around Australia.

The name Black Blaze is inspired by the Australian-native wildflower, the banksia.
In the warmer months, Australia experiences back-burning and bushfires. After a fire, something grows from the black blaze left behind - the banksia.
