The Story Behind It

Soko seeks to redefine the aesthetics of ethical fashion by creating modern accessories that appeal to the urban woman. Founders Gwendolyn Floyd, Catherine Mahugu and Ella Peinovich established Soko in Nairobi, Kenya, with the aim of shifting the perception of ethical fashion and promote conscious consumerism.

Using new digital platforms and mobile technology, they are pioneering ethical fashion by aligning handmade talent from emerging markets with the international fashion consumer.
